Where "Bickies" Comes From
The plural form of bikkie, part of the same "-ie" clipping pattern found throughout Australian English (see also brekkie and cuppa). Green's Dictionary of Slang traces "bikkie"/"bickies" back to 1907.
Used identically to "bikkie" in everyday speech — the choice between "bikkie" and "bickies" mostly just tracks singular versus plural, a biscuit versus a whole packet.
